Two brothers from small town Nebraska are Castor & Lux.
The younger, Nathan, was 17 when they started making music with an intent to release. Four years his senior, Noel was nearing the completion of a degree in computer science when the brothers started to refine their sound.
The duo crafted “Keep Time” while overlooking a small secluded lake, on a porch open to the elements. Noel wrote songs on a small upright piano and presented them to Nathan. Nathan then brought them to life with synthesizers oscillating like the midwestern temperatures.
With influences ranging from The Postal Service to Phoenix, the band’s sound inheres in clean, apprehensive verses which fold into anthemic choruses with a dark undertone.
